Since its formation in 1993, the principals of Black Creek Group have consistently invested in and developed opportunistic real estate projects.

In the early 1990s, Black Creek affiliates were some of the largest developers and buyers of distressed assets in the state of Colorado through RTC land acquisitions. During that period, Black Creek affiliates also became the largest programmatic builder of affordable housing communities and one of the largest owners of multi-family assets in Colorado.

In addition, the principals of Black Creek developed select retail projects throughout the Rocky Mountain region and began to acquire industrial properties. These projects generated attractive returns to Black Creek investors and led to numerous repeat contributions from its investor base.
